Susan Conger-Austin

Critic
Susan Conger-Austin is a critic at the Yale School of Architecture, principal of the firm S. Conger Architects based in Chicago, and a registered architect in Illinois and Colorado. Her work has been published most recently in Architectural Record and Dwell +. She is a Professor of Practice in the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology University, teaching advanced studios and seminars. She also is the Director of International Programs for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP). Prior to forming her firm, she was a Studio Head/Associate Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Chicago. Ms. Conger-Austin received a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.Arch. from Princeton University.
