Project Description

My library is meant to encourage individual different experiences and ways of wandering. Accordingly, there is no main entrance but rather multiple entrances. I expanded the site in order to create an ambiguity between the context and the library. A person may enter the sunken playground, find the door at the bottom, and emerge in the center. Here, the space is scattered with smaller, single-person reading cubbies, a small garden, and walls for the display of artworks. My library is represented using the technique of pop-up books because–just as these spaces are discovered and revealed–so are the moments in my library.
