Project Description

This proposal for the Fair Haven YMCA and Library is one the unites the spirit, mind and body by intertwining different programs within the buildings section, providing opportunities for physical, visual, and sonic overlap. For example, A person visiting this building to simply sit and read a book will pass by, hear, see, and potentially engage with the other spaces that develop the spirit and body in order to create a meaningful and wholistic place for the Fair Haven community to experience. Additionally, the facade system works as a filter between the outside and inside to accommodate a variety of air flow, light levels, and humidity people desire within an open floor plan.
